The deaths of Barry and Honey Sherman shocked friends and family and opened the door to intense speculation and rumours. On Friday, Toronto police provided an update on their investigation. Here what we know so far.
Toronto police said they have sufficient evidence to believe both Barry and Honey Sherman were murdered.
The Shermans were found dead by a real estate agent inside their North York home on Dec. 15. Their home was up for sale at the time and police have said there were no signs of forced entry.
Both were found dead in the lower level pool area of the home, hanging by belts, from a poolside railing. They were in a semi seated position, fully clothed.
Autopsies found both Barry and Honey Sherman died of ligature neck compression.
Police say they haven any suspects at this point
Police have searched two residential properties belonging to the Shermansfor the past six weeks. On Friday morning, the properties were returned to family.
